Overall, it can be clearly seen that there were remarkable upward trends in metric tonnes of both Italy and Portugal , while considerable decline of United Kingdom and Sweden. Despite decreasing slightly , amount of carbon emissions in United Kingdom was higher than other three countries over the whole period .
Initially, both of Italy and Portugal recorded moderate climp . Portugal`s emission showed steady rise until 1987 and , before remaining stable there was substantial increase . There was rapidly growth of emissions in Italy and before that remain constant there was modest increase was appeared .In United Kingdom for a decade the emissions carbon dioxide , was remained constant. After that emissions declined gradually by the end of the period . Sweden experienced sharply rise in 1997. Thereafter the emissions of dioxide plunged almost half in 1987 and substantially reduction was , for the majority of the period.
