The provided maps demonstrate the changes that have taken place in Liverpool John Moores University between 2010 and 2016.
Overall, what stands out is that, with the exception of the library building that has remained untouched, there has been a total makeover as a result of the new features, such as an IT suite, science, footpath, café, lecture theatre, as well as a bus station. Of particular note is that the university has become more convenient for students.
Looking at the former layout first, there was a biology building on the northern side, and to its right, there was a chemistry complex and to it’s left there was a library. physics block and car park could be seen in the center of the university close to the road. It is also noteworthy that there were car parks and admin buildings below the road.
Turning to the 2016 year . Not only due to the addition of the IT Suite , th library has been modernize ,but also biology, chemistry, and physics converged into one facility, which is science.
Moving to the central area, the road was reconstructed to the footpath where we can see a new café on the left side and a new lecture theatre on the right. When it comes to the southern side, the car park changed into a bus station, and the admin building moved to the south of the lecture theatre.
