The bar chart gives information about the common activities children of different ages in the United States do as part of their bedtime routines.

The column graph provides information about the percentage of children, of three age categories, in the United States involved in five different activities in bed. Overall, it is readily apparent that reading is the most popular activity among all ages. While watching TV and eating are the least common bedtime tasks, brushing teeth and having a bath fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.
In more details, significantly higher proportions of children from all age groups engage in reading in comparison to other activities. Specifically, 1-3-year-olds comprise 65%, whereas the 6-8-year-olds account for just under 60% engagement. However, the middle age group, that is, 4-5-year-olds represent the highest figure at 70%.
Conversely, watching TV and eating are done in the smallest proportions by these children. Similar to reading, 20% of children aged 4-5 watch TV in bed, a figure which is about 5% higher than the percentage of toddlers and school-aged children. As for eating, the toddlers exhibit the highest figure at 20%, outnumbering the older age brackets by 10% each.
The remaining two activities, namely brushing teeth and having a bath, reveal moderate participations from the studied children. The youngest age range show a 30% involvement in brushing teeth, while the same for the oldest age group comes at 20% higher. By contrast, the youngest age group dominate the preschoolers and school-aged children in terms of the proportion that have a bath, with the figure standing at 40%.
