The charts below show the proportion of holidaymakers using four different types of accommodations in three different years. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The three pie charts give information about the percentage of holidaymakers who stayed in different accomodations in three years: 1965, 1985, and 2005.
Overall, the figures for caravans and hotels increased gradually, while the opposite was true for those for camping and staying with friends/relatives over the period. In addition, hotels were common accommodation for holidaymakers in the final year.
Looking at the proportion of those who preferred staying in hotels, it started at 16% which was almost equal to that of those who chose camping. It was followed by a significant rise to 37% in 1985 and increased by 1% in 2005. Regarding caravans, 14% of holidaymakers stayed there after which a figure saw a slight decline to 10% in 1985. Despite this small decrease, the figure for caravans grew noticeably, finishing at 20%.
Turning into other categories, the highest percentage of holidaymakers (55%) stayed with their friends and relatives in 1965, before declining dramatically to 35% after 20 years. After a considerable drop to 35%, the figure for staying with friends/relatives saw the reverse change, reaching 30%. On the other hand, starting at just 15%, the figure for camping experienced a slight growth to 18% in 1985. However, this percentage then reduced to 12% at the end of the period, becoming the least chosen accommodation for holidaymakers.
