The given pie chart depicts the data of the survey on the teenagers’ leading reasons for using their phone in one African country from 2016 to 2019.
Overall, it is seen that social networks is the predominant answer, whereas the phone calls are ranked the last. Social networks along with digital camera experienced an upward trend.
In regards to the most popular categories, the social networks constituted the half of the chart in 2016; in a year, the percentage went down by 2%. However, in 2018 social networks regained their popularity and had evaluated to the point of 51%, and had been increasing until 2019, when the category reached its plateau of 56%. Furthermore, in the first 2 years digital camera comprised 15% of the chart and increased to the level of 20% by the end of the period.
Delving further into the details, at the start of the timespan phone calls accounted for a tenth of the chart, and the number increased by 3% in 2017. Nevertheless, the percentage started decreasing in 2018, and eventually it reached 5%. Moreover, emails constituted a fourth of the whole chart in 2016, since then the numbers decreased noticeably. At the end of the period, emails accounted for 19%.
