The maps below show a rural town as it was 1983 and as it is now
The pictures illustrate the transformation of a small town over a specific year from 1983 to present. Overall, as maps suggest the biggest changes in the town were in its northern and eastern sides. Over several years the town faced enormous changes.
As can be seen from maps the entire forest was chopped down only to make room for new housing facilities in the northern-west side. The main road remained untouched, however the place where it split had experienced some changes. The farm was demolished and was replaced by a petrol station on the north side and with a cafe on its southern most.
Whereas, the northern and the eastern rural areas faced noteworthy changes, the southern part lacked development. Windmill at the bottom of the map, post office and the police station, all of them were not changed. In spite of not changing its path, at the end a dam was built on the River May.
