TASK 2: It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn the culture of other people. We can learn just as much from books, films and the internet. Do you agree or disagree?

There is a view that visiting other countries to learn about the culture of different socities has become unnecessary due to advancements in the internet and prevelance of books and films. I, however, disagree with this statement for several compelling reasons.
It is true that with the advent of the internet, trips to other nations have become optional to some extend. This is because rather than spending money on such travels, people can explore various types of cultures on social media platforms like Telegram, Facebook and X(formerly Twitter) by watching videos shared by other travelers. Also, films about different countries, along with books, are gaining popularity, allowing people to learn different traditions easily.
This argument notiwthstanding, I would contend that traveling abroad is essential for individuals with strong financial standing. This is mainly because people can engage more deeply by traveling to other countries, perhaps by seeing museums, buildings and monuments in person and immersing themselves in the atmosphere. Such experiences not only provide a unique vibe but also broaden their horizons significantly.
In addition, travelling enables people to interact directly with local people, fostering a deep understanding of their customs and traditions. Travelers can participate in local events, activities and festivals, where they will communicate with locals and exchange knowledge. As a result, those people may gain a richer awareness of the country’s culture and expand their perspectives.
In conclusion, there is a view that trips to other regions are now unnecessary as people can learn about traditions through films, internet and books. Nonetheless, I totally disagree with this viewpoint, since the excursion offers profound understanding of the culture through real-life experiences and meaningful interactions with local people.
