The images compare how the town of Darvin changed at the waterfront from 2009 to 2014. Overal, the town underwent notable transformations. While key amenities which were a school, a convention centre and a lake, did not shift, an education area and a harbour were erected newly. It was also worth noticing that a fishing area never changed within the given timeframe.
In 2009, the area was predominately residential. There was an industrial zone such as a circle in the middle. It could be seen few vegetations and a lake in it and three resedintial appartments. Additionally, swimming pool was located in the east side of one. They were connected with footpath each other. Adjacent to there was a school in the north-west side of the industrial area. It was also found that a convention centre was situated in the north of one.
By 2014, the town had experienced several changes and it become more green area after the industrial area made way for the trees. Whereas resedential buildings doubled, a university buliding was constructed in the west of them. One significant change was the industrial area between the school and the lake was replaced a new swimming pool. The green area now covered the part of the town where the industrial area stood, with a footpath connecting the Western road with the newly built harbor to the East
