Overall, in the first decade, India, despite having fewer population numbers than China, is expected to witness substantial growth in the final year while China is predicted to diminish in the last three decades.
Turning to the details, in the first year India’s population numbers stood at 1 billion while the population number was almost 1.3 billion in China. In 2010, both countries had increased but India witnessed a dramatic increase by around 0.2 billion and China saw a change by 0.1 billion. The upcoming decade was nearly the same as it was in 2010 because the growth in both countries were as they were in the last decade.
According to predictions, population numbers will be equal in 2030 in both countries at over 1.4 billion. However, the position of countries which dominated the 3 decades is expected to reverse from 2040 by switching their positions that India gets in the first and China will be second. Regarding the last decade’s expectations, India will reach the top by standing at around 1.6 billion while China will decrease and will stand at 1.4 billion.
