The charts compare the proportion of full-time employees with university diplomas and their average salaries from 2004 to 2012. Overall, while the percentage of graduates in the workforce initially grew, it later returned to its starting level. Meanwhile, salaries consistently increased, with maths graduates earning significantly more than others from 2008 onwards. The proportion of maths graduates rose from 80% in 2004 to a peak of 90% in 2006, before gradually falling back to its original level by 2012. Similarly, the percentage of all graduates climbed to 80% by 2008 but declined to 65% by the end of the period. Regarding salaries, maths and all graduates earned comparable amounts initially ($41,000–$43,000). However, from 2008, maths alumni outpaced others, reaching $60,000 in 2012 compared to $51,000 for all graduates. This year marked the largest wage gap between the two groups
