It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn to learn the culture of other people. We can learn just as much from books, films, and the internet. Do you agree or disagree?

In today’s modern world, it has become easier to learn about the culture of other people from social resources such as books, films and the internet, and it is unnecessary to travel to other places. Personally, I disagree with the given idea, I believe that traveling to other countries remains essential for deeper understanding of cultures.
On the one hand, books, films and the internet offer valuable insight about the country. These resources allow people to access a range of information about the traditions, history and the life of the communities. For instance, movies show traditions, festivals and cousins of a particular place, helping viewers to understand the lifestyles of people. Moreover, books provide information about history of a place and their ancestors. The internet, enables access to virtual tours and even connects with citizens of a country with the help of social media. These tools are low-cost and time-saving compared to physical travel.
On the other hand, I strongly believe, that experiencing a culture by traveling there offers unforgettable emotions. Travel allows individuals to get emotions in the daily life of locals, having a deeper knowledge of their traditions. For example, participating in a local festivals and visiting historical landmarks provides a sense of satisfaction, that no book or film can give. Additionally, personal interactions with citizens enables to understand both positive and negative sides of a culture, such as their behavior and humor.
In conclusion, while second-hand sources are very valuable tools for learning about other cultures, I strongly believe that they cannot replace the physical travel, because traveling gives better feelings of locals, traditions and their environments.
