Process
The diagram illustrates how a book is published through the various stages. Overall this is a complicated 9-stages process continuing for 18 to 24 months until the book is ready for sale. The main parts of the work involved in the process take place in a publishing house where the book is edited, designed, and published.
Initially, the process starts when an author writes his own book. Once the manuscript of the book is ready, it’s sent to the publishing house where editors make relevant changes by studying it throughly. The next stage involves making contact between the writer and the publisher so that the book can go through the subsequent publishing stage.
In the fifth step, the layout of the book is designed graphically and when it’s ready, the final decision is made on the cover and settings of the book. The following phase involves printing the book parts, which later can be bound as a ready-made book. Eventually, books are distributed to the bookstore for commercial purposes.
