The maps give information about the changes that took place in the village of Shalton within a span of a decade from 1990. Overall, the area went from a relatively underdeveloped residential town to expanded and modernized one within the given timeframe. Of particular note are houses at the expense of trees and some space.
In 1910, Shalton village was mostly green and space area. There are streets shape of triangle that name of School Road, London Road and High street. To the north-west of the School Road, house and butcher, to the south-west, school could be found. Furthermore, the other side of triangle there are a post office in the north and to the south only two houses. Moreover, in the center of triangle street, a large house that surrounded by trees and a grocer, house and baker could be found.
In 2010, the town had undergone a complete makeover. Probably the most significant change was the converted of the old butcher into convenient parking and modern supermarket. To the north-west side, the old house developed into a bank and school remained unchanged. Furthermore, the right side of London Road, houses constructed for residents of village. There are the same changes in the High street as London Road that construction of more houses. Moreover, in the center of triangular village, a large house and trees flattened and erected a branch of London Road and houses between both sides of branch to the north-east. Finally, the grocer and baker developed into a cafe and apartments in the south of the village.
