Task 01: Chart The chart below shows the percentage of the population in the UK who consumed the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of the population that ate suggested amounts of fruits and vegetables from 2002 to 2010 in the UK.
Overall, it can be seen that the percentage of women’s consumption was the highest while the reverse was true for children’s intake. Notably, all categories followed the same pattern and peaked in 2006.
In 2002, the percentage of women’s daily fruit and vegetable intake was the highest at 25%, closely followed by males, who stood at 22%, while the children’s proportion was the lowest at 11%. In the next four years, the proportion of females’ fruit and vegetable consumption hit the highest point at 32%, whereas both men and children rose by 5%, with the former at 28% and the latter at 16%.
In contrast, these figures witnessed a dramatic decline in the final year. The proportion of females’ consumption decreased to 27%, while males and children’s figures experienced a drop to 24% and 14%, respectively.
