The table illustrates the number of mobile phones and personal computers per 1,000 people in six different countries in 2003.
From an overall perspective, it is apparent that Iceland had the highest number of mobile phones, whereas San Marino led in personal computer ownership. Of particular note is Chile, which had the lowest figures for both mobile phones and personal computers.
In terms of mobile phones, Iceland had a staggering 900 devices per 1,000 people, far surpassing the other countries. Zealand followed with 550 phones, while Malaysia and France had 250 and 200, respectively. San Marino recorded 100 mobile phones per 1,000 people, and Chile had the lowest figure at only 50.
When it comes to personal computers, San Marino was the leader with 720 devices per 1,000 people, which was nearly twice as many as Iceland’s 400. Zealand ranked third with 350, while France recorded 300. By comparison, Malaysia and Chile had the smallest numbers, both at 100 personal computers per 1,000 people.
