Overall, wind energy generation increased in all countries during the given span. Despite a low start, Denmark generated more electricity than the US, which was the dominant country at the beginning of the period in question. Similarly, India overtook Germany in producing energy until 2000.
There is an upward trend in the amount of wind energy produced in Denmark, while the US witnessed a slight decrease. In 1985, Denmark generated approximately 200 megawatts of electricity from wind, whereas the United States of America produced about 1200 megawatts, which was the biggest amount of energy in this year. After five years, Denmark experienced a two-fold increase, while the US grew its electricity production to more than 1700 megawatts. In 1995, the US underwent a slight decline from 1700 to over 1600 MW, which in the next five years decreased to under 1500. As for Denmark, the figure rose to roughly 800 MW before peaking at 1600MW in 2000.
Regarding India, it made 250MW, which was the lowest amount, in 1985, while Germany harnessed about 400. Later, the figure for India went up to under 400MW, which reached its peak of 1200MW in 2000, and in the same year, Germany harvested 600 megawatts, there was a gradual growth for ten years to about 800 megawatts.
