In general, it is clear that the most water in the world is undrinkable, whereas only a minor is fresh water. The table shows the proportion of water which is used for different purposes, such as agriculture, domestic and industry.

The second chart shows the amount of fresh water and its types. For example, the majority of the water is ice glaciers, which represents 79%, whereas the least is surface water, shows 1%. Additionally, groundwater is about 20%.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have the same amount of water use in terms of agricultural purposes, reaching almost 80%; similarly, these two countries utilize the same proportion of water in other areas like domestic and industry, approximately 10 to 15%, respectively.
