On the other hand, the proportion of people over 75 without qualifications was 72%, a figure that was over twice as high as that of those in the 50-75 age range, accounting for 30%. Interestingly, the percentage of those aged 16 to 50 without qualifications was consistently 9%.
Regarding the education levels by gender of any age, 38% of women had no university diplomas, a figure 3% higher than that of men. In contrast, there was also a slight difference in the percentage of men and women with university degrees, with men accounting for 32%, which was three per cent higher. Interestingly, the proportion of both women and men with only school certificates comprised one-third of the total population.
