The bar chart compares information about the proportion of people of different age groups, and the pie chart provides data on the statistics according to gender(any age) regarding education levels in Glasgow, a city in Scotland in 2010.
Overall, many people aged 16 to 75 had university diplomas, while the figure for those over 75 was significantly lower. Notably, the distribution by gender was nearly the same.
Turning to the specifics, 76% of young adults in the 24-25 age range had a university degree, the most dominant figure in the bar chart. The figure for those aged 16-24 and 35-50 was the same, accounting for 71%. There was also a two-fold disparity in the proportion of people aged 50 to 75 and over 75 age groups, with the latter being the lowest figure, comprising 25%. As for the school certificate, much larger figures were recorded in the proportion of people in the 35-50, 16-24 and 50-75 age groups, at 20%, respectively. On the other hand, the proportion of people over 75 who did not have qualifications was 72%, a figure that was over twice as high as that of those in the 50-75 age range, accounting for 30%. Interestingly, the figures for those from 16 to 50 were the same, at only 9%.
Regarding the education levels by gender of any age, 38% of women had no university diplomas, a figure 3% higher than that of men. In contrast, there was also a slight difference in the percentage of men and women with university degrees, with men accounting for 32%, which was three per cent higher. Interestingly, the figure for women and men with only school certificates was one-third of the total population.
