Overall, the export trends were steadily increasing in all three countries during the period. With Country A ranking the first, country B ranking the second and country C ranking the last at the end of the period. The breakdown of the cost of each pineapple consisted of 7 expenses, the biggest expense was given to distribution and retail.
In regard to the bar chart, at the start of the period country A was responsible for a million of metric tonnes exported, meanwhile country B supplied 1,5 million tones to the global market. Meanwhile, country C had exported around a third of a million tons, before the 2009 ended. In 2019, country A became the leading supplier of pineapples, exporting around 10 millions of metric tonnes. Furthermore, country B’s exports doubled compared to ten year before. Country had similar results, it’s international exports reached 0.6 millions of tons.
In terms of the cost breakdown, the pie chart illustrates that distribution and retail were responsible for 35% of the whole price for a consumer. Taxes took around 16% and profit was around 18% of the cost of each pineapple. The section producer accounted at 5% of the total price along with export costs at 4%. International transport took slightly more than a tenth of the price and import licences costed exactly 10% of the price of each pineapple.
