The diagram below shows how one type of coal is used to produce electricity. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The flow chart shows the process of one type of coal being used in the production of electricity. Overall, it is clear that the process is not the easiest one requiring 9 actions to be completed. And some heat is wasted throughout the process.
Firstly, the first few processes do not require significant changes to the coal . The coal is mined and crushed with the special crushing machine. Then it is transported to a gasifier ,where it is heated and coated with gas. After that , it is cooled into normal temperatures and waste heat is produced along the process.
Secondly, cleaning , transformation of the coal into energy and distribution of the coal to industrial factories and houses are followed. It is cleaned after cooling process in a separate factory and then sent to a gas power plant . There, as it was in the gasifiing and cooling processes , excess heat is produced and the coal is converted into energy. Finally ,the electricity produced is distributed to factories and to ordinary people.
The essay follows a logical structure but lacks smooth transitions between processes.
Suggestions
