The diagram below shows the water cycle in both forested and urban areas. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram below illustrates the water cycling in both forested and urban areas.
Overall, it can be seen that in both locations the stages of process differs in many ways. But both starts with precipitations, continueing with baseflow and finishing at evaporation.
In forested area there are permeable topsoil. Firstly in forested area the precipitation which comes from the sky changes into infiltration on water table, then the baseflow on the ground runs off while its remains experience transpirations or evaporation in the air. This process happens everytime without any changes.
Urban areas have less permeable subsoll on rock. This cycle also starts as in forested locations, initially precipitation goes down and turns into reduced infiltration which cointinues as a reduced baseflow. It leads to increased erosion on the ground and during this, increased polluted runoff happens at the same time. But the transpiration and evaporation is not as in forests, because in urban areas they are reduced.
The essay presents information in a logical order but lacks clear connections between sentences and paragraphs.
Suggestions
- Use linking words to improve flow.
- Separate ideas into distinct paragraphs.
- Clarify differences and similarities more explicitly.
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive with some spelling errors.
The essay contains several grammatical errors and lacks complex sentence structures.
The essay addresses the task but lacks detail and clear comparison.
Suggestions
- Provide more detailed comparisons between the two cycles.
- Include more specific information from the diagram.
