Overall, the process entails four main stages, starting with making pulp from used paper, followed by filtering it, removing any impurities from the pulp and lastly producing paper. Additionally, the process is quite complex and completely machine-driven, which utilizes different special pieces of equipment.
The first stage commences with loading boxes filled with used paper onto a conveyer belt, which delivers the used paper to a special tank, where it is mixed with the water full of chemicals. The chemical ensures the paper turning into pulp. Once the pulp is ready, it then goes through the filtering phase, which is undertaken with the help of the filtration equipment. During this stage, the filtered pulp is poured into a container and mixed with soapy water; meanwhile air is also pumped into a container. Any ink from the pulp is also removed through a small tube attached to the container.
The next stage occurs once the resulting pulp is sent to another tank to be purified by water and chemicals once more. The cleaned pulp is then poured onto one other conveyer belt where it is flattened using heated rollers, which also serve as a squeezer, ensuring that no water is left in the pulp. Having been flattened and dried, the paper is then rolled at the end of the conveyer belt. Finally, the recycled paper rolls are ready for shipment and distribution.
