The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph depicts information about how much energy consumed by fuel with its predictions- petrol and oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear, solar/wind, hydropower – from 1980 to 2030 based on the report which is given in 2008 in the USA.
Overall, petrol and oil consistently had the highest consumption of energy throughout the period, although it witnessed a noticeable increase. In- contrast, coal and natural showed some fluctuations, except for other categories where the reverse was true. Additionally, other categories illustrated lower rates compared to petrol and oil, coal and natural gas with nearly the same figures
Focusing on the largest figures, petrol and oil have been accounting for the highest shares of energy consumption, with a mild fluctuation between 1980 and 1995 at 35 quadrillion and nearly 33 quadrillion units respectively, but from 1995 onwards, it has been observing a considerable increase until 2030. However, this figure expecting to be just under 50 quadrillion units in 2030. When it comes to the consumption of energy by coal and natural gas which showed gradual increases from 1980 till 2015, with approximately 17, 20 and 26 quadrillion units in turn, albeit the consumption of energy by coal and natural gas have been experiencing a slight increases and similar rates. Looking for the shares of coal, which witnessed a noticeable rise from 2015 and has been hoping reach about 31 quadrillion units in 2030. But natural gas has been presenting the same rate with 25 quadrillion unit in the years 2015 and 2030,.
There were, nevertheless, more stabilities in the nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower consumption of energy over the period. In 1980, triple fuel types showed reaching parity at roughly 4 quadrillion unit with their consumption of energy. Similarly, their categories underwent fluctuations with some disparities till 2010, but 2010 onwards, they have been accounting for similar trends, with nearly 6, 4 and 3 quadrillion units respectively. Though, he consumption rates of both nuclear and solar/wind have been expecting rise with 1 quadrillion unit by 2030.
