The line graph illustrates the monthly fluctuation on prices of three commonly use metals in 2014, which are copper, nickel and zinc.
In overview, the price of zinc was the lowest price in initial, but it has dramatically climb to the highest price of these three metals in December. In addition, there was a considerably drop in nickel price, causing it became a lowest price in December.
Focusing on the price of zinc, it firstly maintained high level of price in February, which increase from 10% to 30%. Subsequently, it go back to 10% in May, and then significantly drop to -10% in the next month and keep in approximately level between June and October. Finally, it ceases to the peak in December, which was 20%. Compared to nickel price, it has dramatically declined to 10 % from 60% between January and March, then maintain same level before June. In June, it significantly drops to -30% and resurge to -10% in July. After keeping the same level between July and September, it slight dropped and resurge the peak in November and maintain same level in final.
To begin with, the price of copper has decreased constantly from 20% to almost -5% between January and May. Then, the price has resuge to 10% in July and main constantly after 3 months. In September, there was fluctuation and keep the price in around 5% in December.
