The line graph gives information about the amount of carbon which was emitted per person in four countries from 1967 to 2007.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that there were upward trends in the amount of carbon emissions both Italy and Portugal, however the reverse was true for The UK and Sweden. Despite declining slightly, the amount of carbon emissions in the UK was dominant compared to other three countries over the whole period.
If we look at Sweden, the amount of carbon emissions increased significantly within a decade between 1967 and 1977. And then it only decreased sharply during 20 years . As regards carbon emissions in Portugal and Italy, they experienced gradually a rise within four decades. Another interesting point is that the trend was similar in two countries like Portugal and Sweden in 2007. Looking at the details, the emissions of carbon dioxide in the UK declined gradually from start to end of the period. Despite decreasing slightly, figure for the UK remained maintained a dominance over the whole period
