The maps below show the centre of a small town Islap as it is now, and a plan for its development

The maps compare the layout of the current Islap town and a planned one. In general, the town will develop in several ways, becoming more urbanized areas. Notably, numerous facilities are expected to be built, especially the construction of a dual carriageway and other public places.
Nowadays, Islap Town is less modernized. The main area of the town is covered with housing, and the north side of the town is the countryside. Additionally, the countryside and housing estates are separated by a main road, which has a chain of shops on both the north and the south sides. The main road is also curved to the southeast, where the school is situated. Moreover, the park is located on the other side of the main road.
According to the planned development, the town will experience numerous outstanding transformations. One of the biggest changes can be that the main road will be transformed into the path for pedestrians only, while the main area of the town will be surrounded by a dual carriageway. Another drastic change will be the introduction of a bus station, a shopping center, and a new car park, which will be located on a road north of the pedestrians’ path, indicating that the old village will have been demolished to make way for these facilities. Furthermore, a previous car park will be reduced in size, and, beside it, new housing estates will be erected. As for the outskirts of the town, the previous school and housing, which are located south of the town, will stay intact.
