The maps show the transformation of the Spanish city of Costellion since 2000. Overall, the city has become more residential and accessible with the introduction of modern facilities, featuring new markets, cinema, new train stations, and airport. It is also clear that almost every side of Costellion has been changed except for the university, which has not been exposed to any relocation or replacement.
Focusing on the 2000 plan, the city center occupied the middle of the city, with the old market to the left and the road for vehicles located to the bottom. There is a university in the north, next to which are a number of trees. The top of the old market had a train station, and the south of the city was a port.
Since then, Costellion has experienced major changes. What originally used to be a road for transports is now a path for pedestrians only. A big cinema and bars and clubs have been built between the road and the port. The old market has been transformed into new shop. Where the train station stood, there is now police station. While the university has remained intact, the train station has been relocated to the north of the city center. Additionally, the city center has included a bike rental scheme, with the construction of tramlines from the city center to the university. What is more, new shopping centers come at the expense of removing the trees. Other alterations included the construction of the airport, the new covered market, and the hall of the residence.
