The pie chart shows how electricity was obtained from different fuel sources from 1990 and 2010.

The pie chart shows the proportion of electricity produced from various sources of fuel- Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, Hydro power, and Nuclear power- in the years in 1990 and 2010.
Overall, while the figure for Nuclear power increased markedly, the reverse was true for the remaining sources, albeit at varying degrees. Moreover, Hydro power was seen to generate the least amount of energy in both years.
Focusing on renewable energy sources first. The amount of electricity driven from coal and oil accounted to 28 and 22 percent respectively in 1990. Despite this disparity, the figures for both declined to 13 percent in 2010. However, the biggest change was seen in the percentage of natural gas. It stood at 4 percent in 2010, down from 28 percent in 1990.
In contrast, non-renewable energy sources exhibited somewhat different changes, with the figure for nuclear power experiencing the biggest change and that for Hydro power the smallest compared to all sources of fuel. Standing at 17 percent in 1990, the proportion of the former almost tripled to a whopping 67 percent in 2010. By contrast, a slight reduction from 6 to mere 2 percent was witnessed in the amount of electricity obtained from Hydro power in the given years.
