The plans below show a village in the UK in 2000 and now.

The maps illustrate how a village has transformed since 2000. Overall, while the town offers more accommodation than it used to do, the number of facilities available has significantly reduced. Notably, the village has always been divided into two sections with a main street.
In 2000, the village had fewer houses, which were concentrated around a short sideroad in the western part. This road has now been extended in a curved pattern with a line of houses on both sides. In addition, the farmland to the east of this village has been demolished to make way for further houses constructed around a new road with a roundabout.
Many amenities that were present in the village have disappeared. For instance, the restaurant and the hotel to the north in 2000 have fallen into disuse. The same happened to the pub and the shoe factory located to the south of the main street, as well as the shops to the northeast corner. Conversely, below the building that used to be the shoe factory in 2000, a playground has been erected.
