The two pictures highlight the main changes which have taken place in a seaside village between the year 1979 and now. Overall, it can be seen that the village has become residential and recreational, with far more new apartments , sports and catering facilities.
Looking at the current layout, the village has undergone significant changes. The first visible change has been the removal of the farmland and the forest area in the north-east to make way for a golf court and football pitch. A new car park has also been developed to the right side of the local hotel to the east of the village. The cafe on the opposite side of the road from the hotel has remained unchanged. There used to be fish markets overlooking the fishing port in the south, and they have been demolished to construct new high-rise apartments . The fishing port has been removed completely. The shops opposite the fish markets on the other side of the road have been converted into restaurants. The road running around a residential area has been extended to the west to make the village more accessible. The last development has been an increase in the number of houses on the both sides of the road to the north-west.
